Just get the word around when its finished. I've never been on FVPA but there must be some decent guys on there who want to talk about real football, same with the discussion section on EA. I swear you know everyone on there so they shouldn't take much perdsauding

I'm willing to give this a go, to see if it can work. When it does, or if it does, we can probably close down the 12th man.

Firstly, we've got to maintain our primary focus. Quality over quantity. It's all well and good getting over 1000 posts per day, but it's useless if a quarter of those posts are basically spam.

I have some ideas for a better forum though.

1. No Chat Thread

This is a must to be. We could eventually install one if the forum becomes very active, but until we build up, it's a luxury we cannot afford to have on the forum, for me, because it will always lead to a reduction in football talk.

2. Pick our members carefully.

With the 12th man, we basically just invited over any member who was half decent, but we have to take a different approach this time around. Only invite over good, constructive posters. I don't mind the odd bit of banter, but we need good, serious, flowing discussion going. That means we shouldn't be inviting people like Sammy, Gandalf or Monk over, for starters.

3. Offer something unique

As a football forum, we're at a disadvantage, because there are so many football forums out there. If someone finds a more active one, they're more likely to go there than here. Because of that, we need to offer something different and unique, that can bring them over to stay.

Would anyone like to take my place and do everything to make this place work? I really haven't been well lately and have too much stuff going on to be able to do all the work. I know it seems like it being lazy and bottling it but I will not be able to do the work needed so I may as well not string everyone along saying that I'll try and get some stuff done as I doubt I will. I will still be around I'm just not up for doing everything again.

I'd take your place on the 12thman as everything is basically done and all I'd need to do is just make sure that the place runs smoothly. Here, however, I'd need to set up everything from anew and I have no idea how to manage that.

I'll decide about the 12th man later. If I do give you my role along with Rob then you will need to do a lot of work to rebuild the place again as its pretty buggered right now.

I would take over if i knew what to do, but seeing as i have no idea i say give it Cheesy or Rob
